New Way to Start

August 2024. One of the most stressful summers I'd had in years. Running through check-ins and passport controls with my laptop in hand, coordinating last-minute tasks as my plane lifted off to Portugal.

I was literally sending my final work email as we left the ground. Then I opened Ableton, looked out the window, and thought — I'm flying through the sky. Why not make some music?

I played some chords. Saved the idea. Nothing more.

A few days later we arrived at a cliff formation right in front of the ocean. I pulled out my laptop, sat inside a cave carved into the rock, and kept building the track — surrounded by that view. That's when I found the vocal.

The original vocal says: No Way to Restart.
But the first time I heard it, I instinctively felt: New Way to Start.

The line between NONEW is so thin. Sometimes it only takes one shift of perspective.

Once in a ceremony I heard the phrase: life goes in circles. Everything follows certain cycles. With every new cycle, new challenges — but also a chance to let go, to grow, to evolve.

The circles on the cover represent exactly that. Growth, struggle, healing, rebirth. Each cycle takes us one level higher. An upward spiral of transformation.

This track is my personal initiation of beginning a new cycle. After countless setbacks, I'm still here — on the starting line for another run.

Life isn't perfect. We grow, we fall.
But we can choose to make a new start.

Travelling gives me my deepest inspiration — it fills the creative pond with new images and sensations, so ideas surface naturally. Being in the sky, seeing the ocean, breathing mountain air, watching sunsets — all those moments flowed straight into this track.
